We’re excited to extend our dining services over the Christmas and New Year period! Our doors will be open for dinner service on the following dates:

Dining at The Tasting Room

The ultimate paddock-to-plate experience

Dinner is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings with a single dinner sitting at 6:45pm

Bookings are essential at our high quality Wagyu Beef Steak House.

 Subject to availability, and a minimum booking of 10 people, the Tasting Room can also cater for lunch, corporate bookings and special events (email tastingroom@mayurastation.com for enquiries).

The Tasting Room is a boutique facility located on-farm at Mayura Station approximately 10 minutes from the Millicent town centre and approximately 45 minutes from the City of Mount Gambier (click here for directions).

Menu

We offer a set-menu featuring a 4 course dining option. Chef prepares the menu utilising the best cuts of Mayura Full-blood Wagyu Beef available on the day and fresh, seasonal produce.

Special dietary requirements can be accommodated if advised at time of booking.

Guests are asked to select from the following during the booking process

Four Courses $170 per person*

Includes starter, entrée, main and dessert.  The starter, entrée and main each feature different cuts of Wagyu cooked in different ways.  An individual cheese platter is available as an alternative to dessert,  guests can inform us of their preference at time of booking.

Children's Meal $65 per person*

For children aged 5 – 12, we offer a 2 course meal featuring a Wagyu main and dessert. Please note that Children's meals will be served at the same time as main course. For children under 5, you may bring your own food.

*Menu prices exclude beverages.  Prices quoted are subject to change and will incur a 10% surcharge on Public Holidays.

Seating

Our restaurant has capacity for guests in our Dining Rooms (Meadows Dining Room & Dry Age Room) and Chef’s Table/Kitchen areas. 

Chef’s Table is an interactive experience seated around the grill where Chef overviews the cuts of meat and cooking style whilst cooking in front of you.  We can comfortably seat approximately 10 around Chef’s Table on bar stools.  It is a little warmer and noisier because of the grill and the extraction fan. The Kitchen Area surrounds the Chef’s Table.

For the safety of our staff, children and other guests, children cannot be accommodated at Chef's Table or in the Kitchen Area. Chef's Table will attract a $30 per person surcharge.

We are a licensed facility serving beer, a large variety of regional wines, spirits and soft drink on site.  Click here to view our Beverage List.

Arrival

On the night of your reservation we ask that you arrive promptly by 6.45pm. If you are delayed, please call 0427 284 775 to advise us. 

Bookings

We require credit card details to secure all bookings. A pre-authorisation of $50 per person will be held but will only be charged if the booking is not attended or not canceled within the specified cancellation period.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made at least 3 days prior to the booking date to avoid the pre-authorisation charge. You can cancel by following the link in your confirmation email or by calling 0427 284 775.

Payment

Please note that we do not accept American Express. Eftpos payment will attract a 1% surcharge on the bill total. No split bills
